Submersible eLab-Id™ by Panerai

A concept watch with the highest percentage of recycled material ever created

Panerai is a pioneer in the world of haute horlogerie, offering new technologies, materials and proportions for its highly impacting pieces. At Geneve, we are pleased to have Panerai among our watch brands to provide our customers with the best.

Now the brand has taken one step further, transforming the watch with a view to the planet, creating a groundbreaking new piece. The new Submersible eLAB-ID™ is the watch with the highest percentage of recycled material ever created, poising Panerai to lead an environmentally aware watchmaking movement.

The innovative watch represents an unprecedented achievement in the history of the watch industry. A full 98.6% of its weight comes from materials with a high rate of recycled elements. Its case, sandwich dial and bridges are crafted in EcoTitanium™, a recycled titanium alloy that is a lightweight aerospace-grade metal made of more than 80% pure recycled content.  Moreover, the Submersible eLAB-ID™ is the first watch to use 100% recycled SuperLuminova™ on its dial and hands and 100% recycled silicon for its movement escapement.

Many of the watch’s primary components contain recycled materials

The new Submersible eLAB-ID™ is an achievement for Panerai and a tribute to the creativity and exceptional work conducted by Laboratorio di Idee, the research and development incubator behind all the company’s technical advances. Most importantly, the Submersible eLAB-ID™ presents a great opportunity for the watch industry to finally understand that it is possible to make watches almost exclusively from recycled materials and to thus decrease the need for new materials and reduce our carbon footprint.

To obtain the recycled materials needed to create a watch from scratch, Panerai had to create a new logistics chain. To do so, it invited its partners and suppliers in the watch industry and other industries as diverse as the aerospace and automotive industries on a journey of experimentation and exploration.

As distributors of Panerai watches, we are proud to have watch and jewellery brands that are concerned about making their pieces more environmentally friendly, because this is the future and we do not have another planet. Now is the time to do the right thing for the environment, and it is actions like these that enable us to do so.

With the Submersible eLAB-ID™, the brand has created a model that will serve as a starting point for others to follow and exceed

Novedades Omega 2021

Seamaster Diver 300m Black Black

They are ambassadors

Women have proven time and time again that they are unique and unparalleled and can achieve whatever they set their minds to. At Geneve, we are proud of all women who day after day fight for a better world and of every heroine who works anonymously to achieve her dreams.

Today we want to put the spotlight on great women who, through their achievements, have managed to rise to the top of their discipline and bring attention to major watch and jewellery brands along the way.

We present some of the most iconic ambassadors who, through their profession, fight to make the world a better place.

TAG Heuer Ambassador Naomi Osaka

Osaka won the Australian Open 2021

The 23-year-old tennis player has become a TAG Heuer ambassador thanks to her talent, style and influence, characteristics that make her a unique star.

The Japanese woman is not only an extraordinary tennis player; she is also a social activist that wants to make the world better

She has been unstoppable since joining the professional circuit of the WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) in 2013, having become one of the most explosive and influential tennis players in the world. Osaka was the first Asian woman to hold the top ranking in individuals and the first female Japanese player to win a Grand Slam, the 2018 US Open. She is currently ranked world no. 2 after winning the Australian Open 2021.

Arina and Dina Averina with Longines

The gymnasts at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship

The Longines Ambassadors of Elegance in rhythmic gymnastics are the sisters Arina and Dina Averina, two Russian gymnasts who appeared at their first World Cup competition in 2014. These talented and elegant young athletes perfectly embody Longines’ “Elegance is an attitude” motto.

Dina and Arina Averina, delivered incredible performances at the 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, for which Longines served as the Official Partner and Official Timekeeper. The Russian twin sisters nearly managed a full sweep at Baku’s Gymnastics Arena with seven medals, including four gold. It goes to show once again that age is not important when it comes to representing a major haute horlogerie brand, and these two show it in their sport, representing the youngest women.

Pomellato For Woman

The Italian jewellery brand is on a par, and in March, it launched a podcast to commemorate International Women’s Day, in which Jameela Jamil talks to actress, writer and activist Jane Fonda about climate change, among many other struggles. There is no better person to voice the needs of women today, given that Fonda has devoted much of her life to an array of struggles and now projects her voice through Pomellato For Woman, tackling issues like gender inequality, women’s vulnerability, courage and resilience.

Jane Fonda is a Hollywood icon with more than 50 films under her belt, in addition to the winner of two Academy Awards. A matchless fighter in every realm of her life who reminds us today that we are still working towards equality.

This initiative helps to expand the voice of women, enabling them to continue working for a better world. Geneve makes its voice heard in this ongoing struggle so that we have equality in this world and there is no type of vulnerability for women. We are here for them.

Recarlo, eternally beautiful jewellery

Women and diamonds are what inspire Recarlo, expressing a love of women and of couples in each of its pieces

Diamonds and women have always gone together, with the latter being the best inspiration we can have. As a jeweller, we love creating pieces for women, feeling that our items will be a special part of your life and that of your family, because a diamond is forever.

One of the brands you will find at Geneve is Recarlo. They share with us a powerful vision, that of the purposeful creation of fine jewellery that at the same time makes women shine with elegance.

The relationship between romanticism and eternal love represented by a diamond is one of the Italian brand’s hallmarks. Recarlo works harmoniously and meticulously to create unique and distinctive jewellery, enhancing light through a diamond’s sparkle, and alongside expert gemmologists to obtain stones from Russian mines according to the highest quality standards.

Heart-shaped cuts have become one of the brand’s icons through its beautiful pieces devoted to couples

Recarlo was founded by an Italian family in 1967. The brand redesigned its image in 2015, staying true to its history, highlighting Italian craftsmanship and developing ambitious goals with values and images to inspire a new creative process.

Recarlo’s white gold and diamond jewellery collections are designed to celebrate all of life’s emotions

In 2020, it reached an important milestone when it obtained the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) certificate, thus advancing significantly on its path to sustainable growth. This consolidates both its own reputation and that of its suppliers and customers, strengthening its vision from an ethical, social and environmental standpoint and reiterating its respect for human rights, from extraction of the raw material to sale of the final product.

As a jeweller, we are pleased to work with a highly renowned brand that upholds admirable unique values. We therefore offer the best of this jewellery brand at our shops and invite you to see the latest collection called Anniversary Love, which speaks to the heart through the heart.

Panerai Submersible

Officine Panerai came into being in 1860 in Florence when Giovanni Panerai opened his watchmaker’s shop on Ponte alle Grazie, an establishment which served as shop, workshop and the city’s first watchmaking school. Panerai is what is considered a watch manufacture, meaning that its timepieces are equipped with in-house mechanisms that it itself produces in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

In subsequent years, the brand became an official supplier to the Royal Italian Navy, providing it with precision instruments such as its famous Radiomir and Luminor models used by Italian frogman commandos.

In 2021, Panerai’s collection of professional diving watches is being expanded with two new stainless steel models fitted with a ceramic disc on the rotating bezel that gives these new creations a sporty, powerful, contemporary look.

The two new Panerai Submersible models, which express all the power and personality of the brand’s professional diving watches, come with 42 mm cases, a size that remains true to Panerai’s DNA while being suitable for any wrist size.

The case measures 42 mm in diameter

The two new models are fitted with the OP XXXIV manufacture calibre, an automatic movement with a three-day power reserve, the company’s basic standard. Both watches have an AISI 316L stainless steel case incorporating the iconic crown guard and a unidirectional rotating bezel to display dive times. They are also both water resistant to 300 metres.

Robust, functional, resistant and with the immediately recognisable Panerai personality

The difference between the two new Submersible models lies in the colour schemes. The first, which is available at Geneve shops, combines the elegance of a blue ceramic disc around the dial and a blue rubber strap with the distinctively textured grey dial.

Meanwhile, the second features a dial, ceramic disc on the rotating bezel and rubber strap all in black and adorned with luminous white markers that are clearly legible in all lighting conditions and in complete darkness.

On both models, the small seconds hand, an essential feature for ensuring that the watch is running during a dive, is Panerai blue and rotates in the sub-dial located at 9 o’clock, balancing out the date window at 3 o’clock.

The Panerai Submersible in blue is already available at Geneve shops

TAG Heuer joins forces with Porsche

The watchmaker and the German carmaker launch a stunning new watch together

The brands announced the launch of the TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph, the first tribute to the historic partnership between the two companies. It marks the start to a long-term cooperation that will range from competitions to product development.

The limited edition is available exclusively at Geneve Company

Both TAG Heuer and Porsche have a rich history and a reputation for innovation. But they are also known for their use of cutting-edge technology, their dynamic, free-spirited mind-set and their gift for design excellence.

For over half a century, their respective histories have been intertwined in intricate and fascinating ways. It could no doubt be argued that the legacies of both brands show certain similarities evident in retrospective, including the very founding of the companies, which in both cases is thanks to a self-taught entrepreneur.

Edouard Heuer and Ferdinand Porsche were visionaries and pioneers whose creations forever changed their respective fields. Heuer was responsible for the production of the first chronograph; Porsche invented the electric wheel-hub engine.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph is an extraordinary example of coordination, cooperation and collaboration

Based on the design of the TAG Heuer Carrera Sport Chronograph with its characteristic tachymeter scale engraved on the bezel, the new model incorporates features inspired by the essence of Porsche design. The captivating chronograph combines two icons of performance, quality and innovation, managing to bring together the worlds of Porsche and TAG Heuer in a way that exhibits the excellence of both brands while staying true to their essence.

The bezel features a Porsche inscription engraved with the same unmistakable font also used on the indexes. The watch uses the colours red, black and grey for all its elements, while the transparent sapphire crystal case back allows admirers to observe the oscillating weight that has been redesigned as an affectionate nod to the iconic Porsche steering wheel and features printed Porsche and TAG Heuer inscriptions.

The dial boasts an asphalt effect created especially for this model that reflects a passion for the road, and the Arabic numerals recall the numbers on the dashboard of stunning Porsche sports cars.

The bezel features an engraved red Porsche inscription

The outstanding model is completed inside by the in-house Calibre Heuer 02 movement, which builds up an impressive 80-hour power reserve.

Moreover, since it is a special edition watch, the TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph is delivered in a specially made box featuring a style and colours to match the stunning watch contained inside.

The pioneering watch is set on a soft strap in luxurious calfskin that echoes the Porsche interior

The L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Ox by Chopard

Jewellery and watches are what sell best on the Chinese market. Indeed, in 2018, the country accounted for 30% of spending in the luxury market, and this number continues to rise. Hence, major brands in the industry compete harder and harder to attract the attention of Chinese consumers.

Chinese travellers in Europe are important for tourism, because they are who buy most when travelling, since it is cheaper for them to buy in Europe than in China.

Chinese New Year (also known as the Spring Festival) is the most important celebration in the Asian country and in many of its neighbouring countries. This year will begin on 12 February 2021 and end on 31 January 2022. When celebrating Chinese New Year, those living in China often take holidays lasting anywhere between two weeks and a month and a half, making it the best time to travel to Europe to buy gifts for loved ones.

In this regard, Chopard is one of the major brands that participates in the festivities by coming out with new products. The Maison surprises connoisseurs again this year with a stunning, unique, elegant watch that embraces superior ancient Asian craftsmanship, the L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Ox. It is a timepiece dedicated to the Year of the Metal Ox, an animal that, according to the Chinese horoscope, is favourable to harvests, wisdom and loyalty.

Its dial in Urushi, a special Asian lacquer made from the sap of the Toxicodendron vernicifluum tree, is crafted by Japanese lacquer masters to reveal a scene that evokes ancient labours, humble prosperity and timeless elegance. It also features gold, representing good fortune.

Urushi is an ancient Asian lacquering technique used for an array of items

The 88-piece limited edition has an in-house LUC 96.17-L movement that has been entirely developed, produced and assembled at the Chopard High Watchmaking workshops. This self-winding mechanical movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and has a power reserve of nearly 65 hours thanks to Twin technology, a system invented by Chopard combining two coaxial barrels.

The dial portrays the Metal Ox, the Chinese Zodiac sign of 2021

The undeniable centrepiece of this model is its dial, which is adorned with gold flakes that illuminate the background and shows the golden ox with straight horns harnessed to a cart made out of gold, mother-of-pearl and coloured lacquer.

The ultra-slim rose gold case measures 39.5 mm in diameter and 6.80 mm thick

Details of the watch

It boasts an 18-carat gold case and a crown in the same material. It is water resistant to 30 metres and set on a matte black alligator leather strap with hand-sewn matching tones. The timepiece indicates hours and minutes with a self-winding mechanical movement. Limited edition of 88 pieces.
